I’ve recently been really into halter tops, especially the “Sachi” ones from Brandy Melville. I never thought I would like halters on me because of my very broad shoulders from years of swimming (wouldn’t the thin straps just make them look even wider?); however, they look surprising fine in spesific halter tops. As you can see above, I just have to remember to wear a strapless bra or I will end up with straps that I can’t Photoshop out. I tried, believe me, I tried. Besides, I cannot go braless, it makes me crazy when people do that (not that there’s anything wrong with braless, I just don’t like it on me).

Even though festival season was a long time ago, I really wanted a black fringe kimono and was about to DIY one, but when I saw this one at Cotton On for $10, I just couldn’t pass it up. It does “swallow” me a bit since it’s a size S/M and I’m typically a XS. Nevertheless, it completes the whole look, plus this is as bohemian as my outfits will get.

PS: I have really dark knees.

PPS: Mom, I’m really surprised you let me wear something showing my midriff, let alone post it on the internet.

I’m back!!!!! YAYAAAAAAYYYYYYYY :) My hiatus would have been 5 months now if not for THIS post, but I’m back for good! I’m still easing into the whole blogging routine, so we’re starting off easy with an outfit post today. Also, please excuse the awkward photos/ blurry shots. We’re still working on our photography here. ;)

If I had to sum up my style in one outfit, this would probably be it. It’s super comfy and casual, with a oversized knotted tee and some denim shorts. Normally I’d go for ripped denim, but I’ve been loving the more polished look of non-distressed shorts. The top has a low v-neck which allows the strappy bralette I’m wearing underneath shine though. With a pair of gladiator sandals, I’ve been wearing this outfit everywhere and is probably one of my favorite outfits ever. What’s your go-to look for summer?

Recent Things (#1)

Hey y’all! If you’ve noticed, I  have been back from my short blogging hiatus (Feb. to Mid-April) but the posts you’ve seen so far were kinda pre-written. It’s been a long time since we’ve had a heart-to-heart so I’m happy you’re here to chat. I was really busy working on another long-term project. I don’t know if I’m allowed to publicly announce anything yet, but it’s related to my upcoming sewing book (which is getting published btw, hard copy and bound!). I’ll definitely spill all the details once the release date is confirmed.

One of my new year resolutions was to post more and I’m ready to do so during the summer. Today’s post is more of an life update, though I have planned lots of fun DIY fashion projects for the future. I also haven’t done an outfit post in a while and those are my favorite kind of articles to read online. It’s probably because I only go out of the house 2 days a week and I wear the same thing both days since no one can tell. Haha. ;) Nevertheless, I’m aiming for at least 3-4 outfits per month, so half a week of outfit ideas for you guys.  In the meantime, I still won’t be posting much soon. There’s just a lot on my plate at the moment and a LOT more of catching up to do. School ends mid June and I’ll be back then, hopefully sooner.

Below are just a couple of photos illustrating my life this past couple of weeks, more or so a peek into my life. They aren’t in time/week order, just here and there. Hope you enjoy! All images via my Instagram :)
