I’ve recently been really into halter tops, especially the “Sachi” ones from Brandy Melville. I never thought I would like halters on me because of my very broad shoulders from years of swimming (wouldn’t the thin straps just make them look even wider?); however, they look surprising fine in spesific halter tops. As you can see above, I just have to remember to wear a strapless bra or I will end up with straps that I can’t Photoshop out. I tried, believe me, I tried. Besides, I cannot go braless, it makes me crazy when people do that (not that there’s anything wrong with braless, I just don’t like it on me).

Even though festival season was a long time ago, I really wanted a black fringe kimono and was about to DIY one, but when I saw this one at Cotton On for $10, I just couldn’t pass it up. It does “swallow” me a bit since it’s a size S/M and I’m typically a XS. Nevertheless, it completes the whole look, plus this is as bohemian as my outfits will get.

PS: I have really dark knees.

PPS: Mom, I’m really surprised you let me wear something showing my midriff, let alone post it on the internet.

I’m back!!!!! YAYAAAAAAYYYYYYYY :) My hiatus would have been 5 months now if not for THIS post, but I’m back for good! I’m still easing into the whole blogging routine, so we’re starting off easy with an outfit post today. Also, please excuse the awkward photos/ blurry shots. We’re still working on our photography here. ;)

If I had to sum up my style in one outfit, this would probably be it. It’s super comfy and casual, with a oversized knotted tee and some denim shorts. Normally I’d go for ripped denim, but I’ve been loving the more polished look of non-distressed shorts. The top has a low v-neck which allows the strappy bralette I’m wearing underneath shine though. With a pair of gladiator sandals, I’ve been wearing this outfit everywhere and is probably one of my favorite outfits ever. What’s your go-to look for summer?

Happy Monday to people of the world. :) I couldn’t quite decide what to call this post, hence the awkward title. Anyhow, the shorts are made by me and are really just a knock-off of the ones from Brandy. These cost me $6 and an hour at most, compared to $15-$30. They’re made out of a poly-rayon challis (“flowy fabric” for those non-sewing speakers), with an elastic waistband which means they’re super comfortable.

I put on a button up shirt from my mom so that I don’t look like I’m wearing PJs. I’ve been trying really hard to rock the whole joggers and “I feel like I’m wearing PJs but not really” with shirt dresses and all but so far no luck. I’m more of a jeans and tee kind of girl, so flowy shorts are the closest that I’ve gotten.

Btw, I laughed my head off when I realized I looked really tan in these photos. It seemed really funny to me since I’m actually quite pale in real life. Who knows? The camera has its ways……
